My name is Bryan Blacio, I’ve been following my passion and guiding others to a healthier lifestyle for over 6 years. I compete in bodybuilding in the Men’s Physique category, and hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
I was introduced to health and fitness at the age of 12 years old. I started learning about nutrition and healthy habits working with a nutritionist. I was severely overweight and diagnosed with high cholesterol and triglycerides. The doctor gave me a warning that if I kept the same eating habits I could start developing heart problems. After a few months and a lot of changes I got into a healthier weight range. I didn't start getting physically active until I was 15 years old and was introduced to one of the most grueling forms of training, boxing. I'm thankful I started with such intensity because it stayed with me to this day. As I got stronger and more curious to see what I could do with my body I got to dabble with P90x, Insanity, Karate, Parkour, Crossfit (mostly body weight WOD's), and I loved it. At 17 I joined an old school, beat down gym that was about 10 minutes away from my house and I was introduced to Bodybuilding. At the same time, a new category in bodybuilding was getting started and it was called Men's Physique. It was more of a lean, aesthetic, and achievable look from the regular monsters in Bodybuilding. It gave me a bigger goal to shoot for and after doing my first show at 20 years old I was hooked. To this day I train to one day win the Mr. Olympia and hoping my journey motivate others to chase their own dreams
I'm a college graduate with a Bachelors in Business Management from Mercy College. The fitness aspect of my life forced me to make my career around what I do best, help individuals reach their highest potential. I get immense gratification when I see someone push past their own physical limits and breaking through a mental sticking point. I think that physical training if done right can offer individuals many life benefits. It's not just about getting in better shape, but about pushing the limits of your current self over and over until you become the best version of yourself. I have made it my goal to be the best instructor I can to hopefully make a change in someone else's life. I'm constantly trying to improve my own knowledge and become well rounded in all fields such as: strength, mobility, flexibility, nutrition, performance, and longevity. Below are some of the certifications I have acquired over time to hopefully be better prepared to impact someone's life:
